Lately, Kaizen has taken over the division under which I work. It is kaizen everywhere: on walls, there are weekly meetings about it. The push to “kaizenise” every team is real. While laudable, it ceases to be the bottom up, voluntary “philosophy”. Yet, even for us, non-Japanese, the approach is worth it. So is rajio taisō. Actually, Americans would benefit a lot from the second. Should I propose it?
