Oh, Mariko-Sama, how much admiration you deserve! Anna Sawai performance was superb on the series. Thank you for making me cry.

Just finished watching “Shogun” (★★★★★), the 2024 series. I don’t have the right to spoil it for you, but I sincerely beg you to watch it, if you can. It truly is very well done; all of it.

“San Junipero” (★★★★★) , series 3, episode 4 of “Black Mirror” (★★★★☆) , remains my favourite of all times. I just watched it again, for the fifth time.

Watched “Blue Eye Samurai” (★★★★★) during the holidays, and truly loved it. Can’t wait for season 2. If you have Netflix, and haven’t watched it, I strongly recommend you do.

The plot is nice, the voices are excellent, the animation is amazing. See it, it’s really good!

Sound on and up, please. I really liked this version of “Ozymandias”. The text is the same, it wouldn’t be “Ozymandias” otherwise. It is the spoken voice, the beat, the emphasis and cadence behind it, that drives it.

Incidentally, “Breaking Bad” (★★★★★) is really good. If you haven’t watched it yet, I strongly recommend you do.

I am not a prude; I am far from it. Yet, I found “Foundation’s” amorous relationship scenes developing too early, too fast, and too often. Especially involving someone who is supposed to come from a planet with a repressive religious society. I mean, really?

If this isn’t toned down a little it will lose a star, or will not gain one. I mustn’t write in haste, perhaps, as I am only on the second episode.

Watched the first episode of “Foundation” (★★★★☆) last night, on Apple TV+, and regardless the public reviews that has gotten I liked it very, very much. It gets almost five stars from me so far. If that changes, I will come, and amend.

I also re-watched “Interstellar” (★★★☆☆) which I have always found too slow, and not enough “science fictiony”, for my liking. But kid wanted to watch it, and I am a good buddy, so… yeah.

Kid and I watched “Jujutsu Kaisen” (★★★★★), the series (and the movie), and this song from the series’ last episode stuck.

Catchy, ain’t it? If you haven’t watched the series, even if you are not into manga, I highly recommend it!

Re-watched season 1 of “One-Punch Man” (★★★★★) with the kid this past weekend. Need to look for season 2—not available on Netflix, unlike season 1—to quench the thirst left by watching those few episodes.

My kid found season 2 online, watched first episode last night. So good!

“See you in my 19th life” continues to be exciting, engaging, and overall lovely. Saw the most recent episodes last night, and I can’t wait for the next weekend 🙈. Imagine if re-incarnation was possible, and on top of it you remembered your previous lives? Anyway, no spoilers! A sweet plot twist on these series.

We watched the first episode for season 6 of “Black Mirror”, “Joan Is Awful” (★★★☆☆) , and were kind of disappointed. I am not going to provide spoilers, but you be the judge when you see it. Hoping the other episodes are better.

Watching “See you in my 19th life” (★★★★★), a Korean series based on a webtoon. I like it! It is quite new, which means two episodes per week. Now I will have to wait for the next weekend. 😩

Started to watch “A King’s affection” last night. Upon seeing, on first episode, one of the twins being killed, I completely lost all desire to continue watching. Let’s see what Kim brings next.
