I have been in love with Expedia’s “Two Step” commercial for a long time. Not only is it well produced, but the smile of the main actress captivated me from the very first time I saw it. Yeah, a silly crush. 🤭
I am not into rap, yo, but Rico Nasty’s Tiny Desk concert was truly lovely. I mean, not just her execution, but the artist herself. Me like! What is there not to, right?
Mind it, as with most rap, explicit language.
“Don’t put it in your pocket, sir. Don’t put it in your pocket. It’s your lucky quarter. Where do you want me to put it? Anywhere not in your pocket. Where it’ll get mixed in with the others and become just a coin. Which it is.”
From the original (and well-received) “Blade Runner” (★★★★★) film, the now famous Roy Batty’s (leader of the replicants) monologue:
“I’ve seen things you people wouldn’t believe… Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion… I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain… Time to die.”
I don’t know about you, but I find this pretty cool. I prefer it 100% more than the original by Britney. LOL.
Sound on and up, please. I really liked this version of “Ozymandias”. The text is the same, it wouldn’t be “Ozymandias” otherwise. It is the spoken voice, the beat, the emphasis and cadence behind it, that drives it.
Incidentally, “Breaking Bad” (★★★★★) is really good. If you haven’t watched it yet, I strongly recommend you do.
